Responsibilities:

• Identify MongoDB table index improvements.
• Identify Elasticsearch schema improvements.
• Support and maintenance HDFS and other Hortonworks Hadoop components.
• Design and Implementation of Backup and Disaster Recovery strategy.
• Screen Hadoop/MongoDB/Elasticsearch clusters performances and capacity planning.
• System monitoring and alerting, dashboards, charts/reports and alerts delivery.

What we’re looking for:

• Strong knowledge of Hadoop Architecture, HDFS, Hadoop Cluster and Hadoop Administrator’s role.
• Extensive experience with MongoDB and Elasticsearch.
• Experience setting up optimum cluster configurations.
• Debugging knowledge of YARN.
• Expert level knowledge of Hortonworks Hadoop components such as HDFS, HBase, Kafka, SOLR, Spark, YARN, ZooKeeper and Postgres.
• Monitor clusters connectivity and security.
• Manage, Troubleshoot and review Hadoop log files.
• File system management and monitoring.
• Strong scripting skills in Linux environment.
• Deploy new Hadoop infrastructure, Hadoop cluster upgrades, cluster maintenance, troubleshooting, capacity planning and resource optimization.
• Excellent oral and written English and the ability to communicate effectively.
