Purpose of the job:

Be responsible for team management, milestones, delivery and quality on specific account(s) by supervising engineering teams and coordinating their efforts, with the purpose of developing a highly technical product and/or providing first-class services.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise engineering teams, impact significantly by enhancing entire existing processes, systems or solutions.
  • Have a primary impact in a broader operational context by setting objectives and tracking achievement of results.
  • Identify and manage project risks.
  • Review schedules developed by Team Lead(s) or Project Manager(s) and perform project schedule planning.
  • Achieve agreements by discussion and compromise.
  • Establish proper communication channels between Team Lead(s) or Project Manager(s) and client stakeholders.
  • Implement and supports proper project lifecycle, required processes and workflows.
  • Monitor project execution. Escalate project related issues to Engineering Manager in time.
  • Prepare regular project status reports and organizes project status meetings.
  • Keep strong motivation in teams to achieve the successful result.
  • Supervise and coach Team Lead(s) and Project Manager(s) as well as evaluate their performance according to established procedure.
  • Support adoption of established company policies and processes.
  • Address specific training needs of project personnel.

EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

MUST HAVE:

  • Commercial experience in software development (5+ years)
  • At least 5 years of managerial experience
  • Proven experience managing delivery of multiple Dev/QA teams for one or several clients
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with different SDLC processes and methodologies
  • Experience adopting customer processes to work remotely
  • Strong Project Management experience is a plus
  • Experience of new project/teams’ kickoffs
  • Strong People Management skills
  • Hiring Management experience
  • Onsite travel/visit experience
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Upper-Intermediate level of English or above
  • University degree in Computer Related Sciences or equivalent work experience
