We are looking for resourceful, hands-on DevOps Engineers, who will bridge engineering, product & support teams.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Head of DevOps, you will be responsible for:
- Design infrastructure in public cloud providers (AWS)
- Design infrastructure as code for CI/CD, release management etc.
- Provide consultancy regarding tools and process
- Ensure system compliance with various corporate requirements (for example, security).
- Ensure uptime of the platform for end-users as well as development teams.
- Provide support for a development team from Ops perspective
- Configure new and already existing environments
- Participate in discussions, influences outcomes, and makes recommendations on feasibility and processes and architecture
- Devise/modify procedures to solve problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and desired results
- Consult with users and develop business relationships and integrate activities with other departments to ensure successful implementation
- Monitor and report to management on the status of project efforts, anticipating/identifying issues that inhibit the attainment of project goals and implementing corrective actions
- Investigate processes and find way to optimize it
- Research of new technologies and tools which can provide improvement to current infrastructure and processes
- Because of the nature of SRE work you should also be prepared for on-call shifts and potential “all-hands-on-deck” situations.
ABOUT YOU
- 3-4 years of professional experience in Site Reliability, Linux Systems Administration, DevOps, or Network and Infrastructure Engineering
- Knowledge and experience with running customer facing, cloud-based, production software system
- Experience finding and fixing critical, customer-facing production issues
- Understanding of industry standards for building services in IaaS/PaaS/Cloud environments
- Proficient with modern programming languages
- Passionate about measurement, observability and early detection of issues
- Proficient knowledge in computer networking
- At least basic knowledge of Incident Management, SLA/OLA
- Excellent problem-solving and change management skills
- Troubleshooting skills strong enough to be able to perform L2/L3 investigation and deliver resolutions
- Proven technical background at an expert level with the following technologies and tools:
- AWS (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, EKS, CloudFront, RDS, ElactiCache, OpenSearch, WAF)
- Version control systems (Git/ Bitbucket/ GitLab)
- Continuous Integration/Delivery tools (Jenkins/ Bamboo/ ArgoCD/ DroneCI)
- Infrastructure Automation tools (Puppet/ Chef/ Ansible)
- Container concepts (Docker)
- Orchestration (Kubernetes/ Mesos/ Swarm)
- Monitoring and logging (Prometheus, NewRelic, Grafana, ELK)
- Web servers (nginx, apache)
- Networking (TCP/IP, Firewall, VPN)
- Build tools (Passenger, Capistrano, Sidekiq, Bundler) as a plus
- AWS certification as a plus
- Familiarity with SDLC lifecycle
- Composed urgency in stressful situations
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Design thinking experience a plus
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team
- Self-disciplined with strong attention to detail
- Good written and oral communications
