ABOUT THE VACANCY
Skelia welcomes a technology-focused Cloud Platform Engineer to become a valuable member of the project team of our client, a leading company in the mining industry. You will design, configure, deploy and support Azure Cloud infrastructure and participate in driving Cloud Platform security standards and patterns for the Group Data Analytics team.

MISSION
- Provide Security and Network Architecture consultancy for all Data Analytics product teams
- Create standards for use and where applicable reusable patterns and services
- Engage with Solution Architects and other teams such as Information Management to ensure that solution meets needs
- Advise product teams on Infrastructure Security and Networking
- Set and agree on standards with Information Management / Cloud Governance Team
- Accelerate teams by advising and creating standards on Networking and Security
- Reviewing and improving networks configuration on Products based on the latest introduced standards and features
- Capture third-party integration requirements and advise on predefined traffic/communication, network, and security standards
- Advice on network capacity and performance constraints.
- You should be able to work in a fluid environment with changing requirements whilst maintaining absolute attention to detail
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Engineering
- Solid experience in Network Architecture and Network Design
- Extensive experience with PaaS and IaaS Platform Architecture
- Essential skills in Azure Infrastructure (Virtual machines, Azure Kubernetes Services, etc..); Azure Platform Security; Azure Backup and Disaster Recovery Strategy
- Strong experience in the Software Development Life Cycle
- Scripting skills (PowerShell, Azure Command-Line Interface, Bash, Python)
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines
- Azure Cloud certifications and industry experience will be a plus
NICE TO HAVE
- Experience with Azure Monitoring, Dashboarding, and Alerting; Azure Governance (Azure Policies, Compliance, Tenant Management); Azure Active Directory Management; Azure Networking Services (Front Door, Web Application Firewall, App Gateway, etc.)
- Experience (Infrastructure, Networking, and Security) of most of these Data Analytics PaaS services, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Bricks, Azure SQL Server, Azure Synapse, Azure Analysis Services, with deep knowledge in several of these services
