🚀 Jeff’s journey started in 2020. Fast forward to end-2021, where over 1 million people in Vietnam and Philippines have used the opportunity to obtain funding via Jeff.

We are still a very small tech team that consists of three backend developers and two frontend developers. Besides the development team, there is a data science team with five engineers and approximately 15 other highly-skilled non-technical team members.
Open communication and no “political office games” is highly valued here.
The backend stack is modern yet simple. Every decision made is based on “how easy it will be to find & onboard a new team member?”
Java & Spring containers running on AWS with GraphQL endpoints exposed to the frontend backed by a Postgres database.
Our code is “mostly” covered by tests — unit, integration & acceptance ones. “Mostly” — sometimes it is hard to keep it up with the business speed, especially in the early stages. Time from commit till the tested app on the production takes ~10 minutes.
We strive to keep the architecture clean and write clean code.
As for the frontend — React + TypeScript (we love TypeScript), there are dedicated frontend developers for that.
At this point, we can say with confidence that we are on the right track with all the processes. Over the last few months, Jeff has added even more skilled people to accelerate business growth. Meaning — we have proper planning, objectives, experiments etc. Not 100% “by the book” yet, but we will get there soon. On the tooling — Jira, Slack & Coda.
We are looking for an honest person with a good work ethic who tries to be a better person and developer every day. Since our team at this stage is very small and we are still laying the foundation for our software — we would love to see the right person who values well-written code.
We expect that you will be eager to learn about the business and preferably have some experience in FinTech already. No matter the role or seniority, you cannot perform at a world-class level if you don’t understand what on earth you are building.
